LBYH VALLEY LEAGUE:
Youth Players will play approximately 45 game schedule in the Valley League. League games start in September and usually end in mid-April. Games are typically played in local towns such as Burlington, Wilmington, Malden, Lawrence, Lexington (Hayden), NashuaN.H., Bedford, M.A., Everett, Hamilton, Lynn, Cambridge, North Andover, Arlington and Haverhill. The Valley League will determine the actual schedule and location of games, which will vary depending on parity of play.
PRACTICE:
There are usually 1.5 practices or skills sessions scheduled per week. Practices are held at Hayden and at other nearby rinks, mainly Bedford.
MIDGET TEAMS:
Midgets play only until Thanksgiving (approx. 12 weeks) due to the start of the high school season.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE:
In cases of financial need, Please contact Mr. Phil Cormier, President of LBYH,
as soon as possible or no later than April 15. All information will be kept strictly confidential.
EQUIPMENT:
Full hockey equipment is mandatory, beginning with tryouts. USA Hockey approved equipment, i.e., HECC approved headgear, is required. Peewees, Bantams, and Midgets play checking hockey and must wear a mouthpiece at all times while on the ice. LBYH strongly recommends neck and mouth guards at all levels. The LBYH program provides a team jersey and socks to be worn at all games.
GOALIE DISCOUNT:
Full time goalies receive a 50% discount on the player tuition rounded to the nearest whole dollar. LBYH also reimburses for specific goalie training. See website for details. Contact the registrar with questions.
FAMILY DISCOUNT:
Families with 3 or more participants in the Travel and or Girls Programs will receive a per participant discount as follows:
Travel - $100 per player
Midgets and Girls U-19 teams - $50 per player
Girls Program - $75 per player.
