Travel & Girls Picture Schedule

A few notes about this year's pictures:

  • For pictures to run smoothly, all players should be fully dressed (don't forget the socks!) in their uniform at your team's session time.  Coaches/team should determine what color jersey you will wear prior to your session.
  • If your session is at the Edge, it will be in Locker Room #5, which is in the Upper Rink. If your subsequent practice is in the Lower Rink, it’s a good idea to bring skate guards to move quickly from one to the other.
  • Siblings may be photographed together.  Just be sure siblings are available for their own team photos.
  • The photographer will take multiple shots/poses of each player.  Note on the form, you have the option to choose which shot will be used to fulfill your order.  If you choose this option, you will have 2 weeks from the release of the proofs to view and select your shots.  If you have not made your selection after 2 weeks, the photographer will make the selection for you.
  • Please be sure that emails from the address " " do not go to your spam folder.  This is the email that will alert you when your proofs are ready.
  • The photographer offers on-line pre-ordering/pre-payment (Directions below)! If you do not order online, you must bring payment (Cash, Check or Credit Card) with you to your photo session! There is also a paper order form that you can fill out if you prefer. IF YOU CARPOOL, your child MUST have a completed form/payment to have an individual picture taken

Make picture day ordering a breeze by placing your pre-order now... it’s especially handy for families who car pool etc.

Pre-Order Instructions

1.      Go to www.brogen.com and click on the image on the far right for the E-Store

2.      Once on the E-Store, click on the “Sports Pre-Order” menu option

3.      Print packages can be purchased by selecting the “Hockey Packages” option on the dropdown menu

4.      A la carte prints and merchandise (individual prints, magnets etc) can also be pre-ordered by using the first option on the “Sports Pre-Order” dropdown

5.      Place and pay for your order through the online system

6.      Print out order confirmation receipt & bring it to the check-in station on Picture Day

A copy of our order form for parents who would like to pay with a check is also attached. You can fill out the paperwork and send everything along with your player on picture day. In addition, we will have hard copy order forms onsite during picture day in the event you don’t get a chance to pre-order. Please note that only players who submit a pre-order or an order onsite the day of pictures will have individual pictures taken. Contact us directly at (781) 209 – 5888 or at   with any questions.

SLS Hockey Training Experience for LBYH Players

Dear LBYH Families,

If you missed the recent Smart Light Sports (SLS) open house in September here is your chance to take advantage of another opportunity.  SLS is offering a try and buy training experience with Coach Joe Dellano.  Coach Joe relates to young players very well, and identifies where additional training is beneficial.  Feel free to contact Joe at SLS directly at 781-859-9610 to book your trial appointment (see flyer).  Mention you are from LBYH to receive the promotion.  Best of luck this season!

Lake Placid Warm Ups ON SALE NOW

As we have done in the past, LBYH is working with Tricon sports to offer Lake Placid teams the opportunity to purchase LBYH Lake Placid Rink Jackets/Rink pants and accessories for the tournament. This purchase is NOT mandatory, but something the kids enjoy and are proud to wear.

This year we are offering the Bauer Flex rink Jacket $60.00 and the matching Bauer Flex lpant $40.00 and we threw in some accessories for those of you who want to go all-in on the LB look.

Pro Tip if you plan to order a little big to get a couple of years out of the jacket- your player may not have the same jersey number next year -- so think about that before putting it on the pants/jacket!

ALL ORDERS FOR LAKE PLACID TEAM WARM UPS WILL BE PLACED VIA THE ONLINE STORE! You must order before October 27nd to receive your warm-ups in time for the tournament.

Samples are available at Tricon Sports for sizing. If this is your first purchase of the Bauer items I STRONGLY recommend trying them on. They traditionally run BIG.

Please contact Lisa Dinsmore at   if you have any questions!

Your Questions Answered: PeeWee/U12 and Bantam/U14 In-House

Recently LBYH announced the launch of In-House hockey for PeeWee/U12 and Bantam/U14 level players.

This games-only, no-checking, recreational, co-ed league will run from November through February with games on Saturday mornings at Hayden.

Registration is now open and we are looking forward to a great season.

Since the announcement we have had several questions that I wanted to share here.

My child has limited or no hockey experience, is this appropriate for him/her?

Yes.  This is a great opportunity for kids who want to try hockey for the first time or to continue to play hockey without the commitment of travel hockey.  Players will be grouped by ability/experience.  Newer players will play with and against each other.

My player plays on a travel team, can he/she do in-house as well?

Yes, we strongly encourage more experienced players to use in-house and the half ice 3v3 format to further skill development and creativity on the ice while having fun.

What ages can play?

Players with birth years 2005-2008 are eligible.

Will my player be required to play goalie?

No.  If he/she wants to try goalie, the opportunity is there.  But we will also rotate full-time travel team goalies looking for extra practice through the teams.  If a goalie is not available we will utilize the “Shooter Tutors.”

Is there checking?

No.  This is a no-checking league.  Games will have 2 referees and penalties will be called.

Can my player be placed on a team with a friend?

We will try to accommodate all teammate requests.  The only scenario where when wouldn’t accommodate a request would be if the request would create a competitive imbalance.

Are there practices?

This is a game-only league.  There are no practices.

Are the games early in the morning?

That depends on your definition of early.  Games will be on Saturdays from 9:30-10:15am.

Can I help coach?

Yes you can!  No skating or hockey experience is required!  You will need to be CORI'd and complete SafeSport training.  Contact Brad Conlin at if you are interested in coaching.

More information can be found on www.lbyh.net or click here to register.
